The 2016 International Academic Exchange Workshop for Marine Engineering ?IAEWME'2016?is held on December 18-20, 2016 at Shanghai Jiao Tong University. This two-day event aims to the expansion of students' research activities. This workshop was initially organized by Kyushu University and later Osaka University, to develop more global perspective. Through this workshop, we can expect the cultivation of intercultural competencies and sensitives to other cultures among students, young researchers, and faculty. Any student and faculty in Chinese, Japanese and Korean universities (but not limited) can participate to this year international event.
